That's a wrap: 1518

I've never had the chance to develop a blended online course before, but this semester, I thoroughly enjoyed doing just that! The course I created was something I knew would engage my teachers and offer long-term benefits. However, I might consider renaming it to something like 'Canva Basic' or a similar title. For now, I am going to leave it alone as I intend to continue to grow the course even more.

Like in most classes, the first assignment is always the most challenging for me, and Module 1 was no exception. Initially, my first attempt at Module 1 only provided a sneak peek of what my course would eventually offer. I hadn't addressed many questions, and the responses I provided lacked clarity. However, after receiving feedback, I was able to refine Module 1 into what it is now.

Everything started to take shape for me in Module 2. I was able to see how I wanted my users to view the content and what was going to be needed for them to work completely in Canva. I was also able to see the importance of them working in Canva. One of the people I was working with started pointing out that he didn't like Canva. The reason: "There are better tools out there". Not a good enough reason for me! I needed to get him into Canva so that he could see that this FREE resource was worth it. In the end, I was able to do just that!

For my last assignment and the completion of my first-ever Canva course, I was able to get 2 coworkers to run a usability test for me. One was my skeptical friend and the other was a member of my main target audience. Both of them took the time to go through the full course for me and create a Canva presentation of their own based on what they learned. Module 3 contains the full Usability Overview and the full Canva Course. I Designed it so that the users could view the full course at their convenience.

I am excited to see where the future takes this course and the different things I will be able to share with my teachers through it. One thing that I hope to achieve with these courses is helping my STEM club team to collaborate on lessons even though we have busy schedules that do not allow for a lot of planning time. This way we are still able to give our students the consistency they deserve.
